The vehicle donation program at Open Door Mission was created to enable individuals to donate their used vehicles to the Mission. By donating their cars individuals benefit from a tax deduction as allowed by the IRS.

Some donated vehicles may be retained and utilized for general Mission purposes such as transporting men to and from school, social service agency appointments, job interviews, etc. while others may be sold to raise funds to support Mission programs.

How To Donate a Car

First you must answer these questions:

• Is the car located in the Houston Metro area?
• Do you have a clear title in your possession?

If your answer is yes to all of these questions, contact Tonica Allen, phone(713) 921-7520 ext. 244 or e-mail tallen@opendoorhouston.org The donation process only takes a few minutes. A Mission representative will come to your home or office to pick up the car at your convenience. Then, you will receive a tax–deductible receipt for your records.

Donating your vehicle is easy! When you give to the Mission, you are assured that your tax-deductible gift will be utilized to help those less- fortunate.
