Development/Business Office Volunteer
On-Call Volunteering/Weekly/Monthly
We are looking for people who can volunteer on a regular basis, or on call with a short notice, to complete timely and important projects.

Tutors for Literacy Education
Seeking tutors to teach literacy
The Mission is in need of male tutors to teach literacy 2-3 times a week in the afternoons for residents in the DoorWay Recovery Program.

Mentors Needed
Seeking devoted mentors
The Mission is in need of mentors for the residents in the DoorWay Recovery Program and the Educational and Job Training Program.

Food Service Volunteers
Assist preparing meals for the hungry
The Mission prepares and serves 185,000 meals each year. We always can use assistance in this area.

Long-term Opportunities
Spare a few hours a week
Can you volunteer 16 hours a month? We have positions available to long-term volunteers. Interested in mentoring, tutoring, admin assistant positions?

Pray –
At ODM we never underestimate the power of prayer.   Please click to view our most current prayer requests.  Thank you investing your time and energy into fighting for us spiritually. Prayer Requests See what a difference prayer has already made at ODM. 

Host Chapel – Interested in ministering to our men. Please call Sammy Freeman at (713) 921-7520 Ext 207 to help out.   Become part of the most important part of our Mission by bringing our men to the Lord.

Financial Support – Our men are always in need of hot meals, and a clean, safe place to sleep.   Help provide these necessities on an ongoing basis.   If your church is interested in helping please contact our Development Department 713-921-7520 ext. 206 or donate online.

Volunteer Groups – Are you part of a church group that would like to help the community?  Please call Charles at (281) 382-2109 for current opportunities.

Mentors – An invaluable part of defeating chronic homelessness is for our men to find strong Christian mentors to help them find their way.
