Thank you to all that attended the 216 Open Door Mission Gala! For over 60 years, Open Door Mission has been working to transform the lives of the most severely addicted, destitute, homeless and disabled men in our community.
We assembled on Wednesday, September 28th, 2016 at the River Oaks Country Club for REUNITED! A Celebration of Faith. We honored long-time board member, John Gillette, with the Finnegan Award for sharing his expertise and resources to create a comfortable and functional facility for our residents and staff. We also honored The Houston Food Bank, with the Michael E. DeBakey Humanitarian Award for its generous in-kind donations to the Mission. We topped off the evening’s activities with entertainment from singer/songwriter, Michael W. Smith.
Through the generous support of this exceptionally moving event, our doors can open to even more men – fathers, sons, brothers, and husbands – who are ready to ask for help.
