GED Tutors

              Help residents study for GED tests by reviewing core subjects like math and reading, and providing practice exams to ensure they are prepared for test day. Your direct academic support provides the practical foundation they need to earn their diplomas and advance their education.

​

Job Readiness

              Assist residents with drafting professional resumes, navigating online job applications, conducting mock interviews and more, to prepare them for the hiring process. This role provides the tangible skills and confidence necessary to secure stable, meaningful employment.

A Passion for Empowerment: A genuine desire to help others gain the confidence and tools needed to achieve financial independence.

Strong Communication Skills: Ability to provide patient, constructive feedback on resumes and conduct mock interviews with an encouraging attitude.

Basic Tech Proficiency: Comfortable using word processing software (like Word or Google Docs) and navigating online job boards like LinkedIn or Indeed.

​

Reliability & Consistency: Our residents thrive on stability, so we look for volunteers who can commit to a regular schedule (e.g., 2–4 hours per week).
