In this role, you will play a vital role in the heart of our facility, helping to prepare and serve nourishing meals that fuel the hard work our residents do every day. You don’t need to be a chef to make a massive impact here—your presence ensures that every person who walks through our doors feels seen, cared for, and supported. Join our kitchen team to provide the essential nourishment that helps our community heal and thrive. Serve a meal: Come and serve food to our men. Once the meal is served, sit with them, talk with and get to know some of our men.

Prep, Serve, Clean: 
Support daily operations by assisting with food preparation, plating meals for residents, and cleaning the kitchen and dining areas after service. Your hands-on help ensures that we can provide consistent, high-quality meals in a clean and welcoming environment.

Grocery Giveaway: Help organize food stock for distribution and assist community members in selecting and loading the groceries they need during our giveaway events. This service directly addresses food insecurity by ensuring the drive runs efficiently and neighbors receive essential nutrition.

A Heart for Service: A positive, "can-do" attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed to ensure our residents are well-fed.

​

Willingness to Learn: No professional kitchen experience is required; we will provide all the training you need for basic food prep, plating, and safety.

​

Basic Hygiene Awareness: A commitment to following health and safety guidelines (such as wearing gloves/hairnets and frequent handwashing) to keep our community safe.

​

Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

​

Reliability: Our kitchen operates on a tight schedule to ensure meals are served on time, so punctuality is key to our success.
