Mentor Program
The Mentor Program connects caring volunteers with residents of Open Door Mission to provide encouragement, guidance, and support. By building meaningful relationships, mentors help residents develop confidence, set goals, and navigate challenges as they work toward a brighter future.
To partner with men in recovery by providing consistent, Christ-centered mentorship that fosters spiritual maturity and practical life readiness. We believe that true restoration happens in the context of relationship.
Our mentorship program is designed with two hands: a Spiritual Hand to guide the heart, and a Practical Hand to guide the future. We ask our mentors to engage in both areas during their time with our residents.
The goal is to ground the mentee’s identity in Christ and build a habit of seeking God for strength in recovery.
Our mentors meet weekly with one to two residents. And go through our guided mentorship process with the resident(s).
