Transportation Team volunteers help Open Door Mission residents access essential services, appointments, employment opportunities, and community resources. By assisting with transportation needs, volunteers play an important role in helping individuals maintain stability and progress toward their goals
Become a vital part of our residents' journey toward independence by joining our Driver Team. In this essential role, you provide the reliable transportation that ensures our men can attend the medical appointments, support meetings, and career opportunities that are critical to their progress.
On our transportation team, you can sign up for a specific recurring event (e.g. drive a group of men to Grace Bible Church’s mens breakfast every Tuesday morning)
Or, you can sign up for as many, or as few, specific driving opportunities on our transportation calendar as you want.
For large groups, you will drive them in our 12 passenger van. For individuals with appointments, you will drive them with your personal vehicle.​
