Transportation Team

Become a vital part of our residents' journey toward independence by joining our Driver Team. In this essential role, you provide the reliable transportation that ensures our men can attend the medical appointments, support meetings, and career opportunities that are critical to their progress. 

 

On our transportation team, you can sign up for a specific recurring event (e.g. drive a group of men to Grace Bible Church’s mens breakfast every Tuesday morning)
Or, you can sign up for as many, or as few, specific driving opportunities on our transportation calendar as you want.

For large groups, you will drive them in our 12 passenger van. For individuals with appointments, you will drive them with your personal vehicle.

Valid Driver’s License & Clean Record: A standard, current driver’s license is required, along with a clean driving history to ensure the safety of our men.

Reliability & Punctuality: Our residents depend on these appointments for their recovery and growth, so showing up on time is the most important way you can support them.

Comfort with Large Vehicles: Willingness to operate a 12-passenger van (we will provide a brief orientation to ensure you’re comfortable with the vehicle).

Insurance Approval: Must be willing to be added to our organization’s insurance policy, which involves a simple background and driving record verification.

A Calm & Friendly Presence: Ability to provide a welcoming and professional atmosphere during the drive, helping residents feel at ease on their way to important meetings.

Commitment to Safety: A dedicated focus on following all traffic laws and ensuring every passenger is seated and buckled before departing.
